Back in 2018, I completed my training in Sampoorna Yoga – a style whose Sanskrit name signifies 'fullness' – at Yogi Hari G.'s Ashram in Miami. Sampoorna Yoga™ embraces the integration of yoga's six primary branches.
Hatha (a branch of yoga that focuses on physical techniques, including asanas,
Raja ("Royal Yoga" or "King of Yogas," emphasising its status as a supreme and principal path to self-realisation through meditation and mind control)
Karma Yoga, (yoga of action" or "the path of selfless action," emphasizing performing duties without attachment to the results.)
Bhakti, "yoga of devotion" or "yoga of loving service," signifying a path of spiritual practice centered on cultivating love and devotion to the divine.)
Jnana, "the path of knowledge" or "the path of wisdom," emphasizing the pursuit of spiritual understanding through intellectual inquiry and self-realization.)
Nada Yoga, (translates to "union through sound" or "the yoga of sound," a practice rooted in the belief that the universe and everything within it, including humans, are composed of sound vibrations.)

The course came into my life exactly when I needed it, honey to my soul. Teaching wasn't on my mind back then, as my practice felt like such a personal journey, a way to strengthen my body's aches and find my spiritual footing after a rough moment in time. But when Covid shook community and the call for healing went out strong, my partner encouraged me to share what I'd learned, hoping it could bring that same inner peace to others... and just like that, it all began.
For two years, I ventured into the online yoga space – a path I never anticipated embracing. Yet, a vibrant BIPOC community blossomed, organically drawing in corporate groups seeking solace and release during those times. Now, seven years later, my journey of learning continues, and I witness the profound and multifaceted benefits of yoga unfolding.
Over the past couple of years I’m often requested to lead more powerful vinyasa and energetic sessions, yet my personal practice has evolved to be much more gentle. It's deeply Hatha-based, with a strong focus on mindful breathing and finding stillness. I appreciate the power of seemingly simple poses held deeply, as they build inner strength while gently guiding us towards a slower pace and engaging our parasympathetic nervous system for profound rest.
I'm extremely passionate about weaving Nada, the power of sound, into my practice. It offers a profound avenue for connection, allowing many to resonate deeply with its vibrations even without physical movement. Emerging research highlights some incredible benefits, including improved sleep quality, potential tumour reduction, and lowered blood pressure, making sound a truly accessible and potent tool for well-being.
I'm also deeply eager to expand my knowledge in areas that currently resonate strongly with my path: Kemetic, Post and Prenatal, Kundalini, and Somatic Breath-work.
For me, yoga's beauty lies in its adaptability – it can be practiced anywhere, offering a profound journey of self-discovery or a quick 10-15 minute neck and shoulder release for busy days. Whether you seek deep stillness in meditation or the invigorating power of a vinyasa flow, I believe there's a way for everyone to benefit, nurturing the mind, body, and spirit.
The Mycelium Journey
Since 2017, micro-dosing psilocybin has been a gentle yet profound support in my life's journey. It helped me navigate a challenging breakup, embraced me through pregnancy, and unlocked new levels of creativity. Even now, it continues to be a valuable tool in navigating motherhood. Deeper explorations with the medicine have guided me inward, allowing me to release old burdens and cultivate significant personal growth, upgrading my mindset in countless situations. It's been a pathway back to my inner truth and purpose, unfolding a deeper sense of well-being as I navigate parenthood and life's currents. My gratitude for the healing potential of the mycelium network is immense, and I remain a lifelong learner of this sacred medicine.
